Aryn Shelander (USA)
(she/her)
Aryn Shelander is a Bay Area native and multidisciplinary circus artist specializing in contortion, foot archery, and hair hanging. She won the Golden Buzzer on Chile’s Got Talent for her hair-hanging act and recently performed duo straps with Ben Huey for Cirque du Soleil. Raised in San Mateo, Aryn earned a degree in Cognitive Design from UC Berkeley before discovering circus arts. She began training in contortion and partner acrobatics with the San Francisco City Circus, and traveled to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to study foot archery with her coach, Serchmaa Byamba, an experience that launched her international circus career. Aryn co-founded an app design and development agency while still performing circus. She is now committed to the circus full-time and is returning to the Bay to perform with The 7 Fingers for the first time.
